In the display settings in the Control Panel, you can select the resolution of each monitor attached. Windows 8 supports up to 8 monitors mostly for desktops though and the tablet itself has two display outputs for the one video controller. To keep it simple, when you see the monitors in the selection box of the display settings, you can change each monitor to the resolution you want.
It should not change the other display. These low end devices can have limits where it should be no problem with a laptop or desktop.
